We all need quiet in our lives for our mental health and well being.

By taking some quiet time out it will help you to establish calm and wellness in your life.

Although the benefits of mindfulness & meditation are clear, you can simply benefit from being quiet, taking time out for yourself, a bit of me time to soothe the soul and calm your nervous system.

All the following activities will support you to find calm in your life.

Schedule at least 10-15 minutes regularly to get for some me-time.

Sit quietly
Meditate
Listen to music
listen to a guided meditation
Go for a peaceful walk outdoors
Take a nap
Focusing on your breathing
Yoga
Reading
Having a cup of tea or coffee alone

Another thing you can do is grab a notebook and write down your thoughts and feelings. Or write a list of the things you are grateful for, your positive characteristics and strengths, doing this will lift your mood and has been proven to increase your mental health and well being. Those who write down their goals are more likely to achieve them.

The secret is to make these things habits or rituals in your day. Meditation, mindfulness and spending some quiet time alone can help us to help manage stress and anxiety and help us find calm in our hectic lives. Anxiety is the most common mental health condition.
