On the back of marathon restrictions and extended lockdowns, countless parents around Australia will be overjoyed at the thought of children returning back to school for good.
But, did you know that from 2019 to 2020 in Victoria alone homeschooling students increased by 1,224. Yep, you heard me right, parents choosing to homeschool their children has increased.
Data from the Victorian government suggests that there has been a 20% increase in children being registered to homeschool, with home learning support networks say the trend is continuing nationally with an increased number of enquiries.
Today we’re speaking with Melbourne mother of two, Carlie Maree who has been homeschooling her children for some time, about the benefits of homeschooling and learn how parents can begin this transition.
