Home renovators and content creators Roisin and Zac from @geebungalow have come up with a crafty, custom DIY alternative to the humble Christmas wrapping paper to inspire consumers to gift sustainably this year. Whether you’re wanting to reduce your waste and save some money, or get the kids involved in a fun activity, this is the perfect project to light up your family activities this Christmas.
For this simple activity, you will need:
- Jumbuck 30m BBQ Butchers Paper
- British Paints 250ml White Sample Pot
- Boyle Precision Craft Knife with Replacement
- Potatoes
Steps:
- Cut ¼ of the long side off the potato
- Carve your chosen Christmas shape using the craft knife
- Roll out the butcher’s paper
- Dip the Christmas stamp into the paint and press into the butcher’s paper
- Repeat step 4 until satisfied with design
- Allow to dry before using paper to wrap loved ones’ gifts
