Stel Coombe Heath Wholesome Lifestyle Project

In a world where the weight of life’s challenges can feel overwhelming, it’s essential to prioritize our mental health. Today, I want to share my personal journey of struggling with mental health, including body dysmorphia and contemplating suicide. Through this blog post, I aim to inspire and provide helpful tips for looking after your own mental well-being.

My Story:

For many years in my twenties, I battled silently with the demons of body dysmorphia and the dark thoughts that plagued my mind. The constant comparison and self-criticism took a toll on my happiness and pushed me to the edge of despair.

I experienced the overwhelming weight of mental health challenges. Anxiety consumed my days, and body dysmorphia distorted my self-perception. Every step felt like a battle, draining my energy and dimming my spirit. However, I refused to let these struggles define me. With unwavering determination, I sought guidance, and professional help, and embraced a commitment to self-care.

I discovered an inner strength and the desire to heal. Through therapy, self-reflection, and the power of energy healing, I started to reclaim my life and find solace in self-care practices.

My healing journey began by delving into self-discovery. I explored various modalities, including therapy, meditation, energy healing, and wellness practices. Through introspection and guidance from mentors, I unraveled the layers of my pain, confronting deep-seated fears and insecurities. It was a transformative process that required immense courage and vulnerability. Slowly but surely, I found the strength to face my inner demons, to challenge negative thought patterns, and to cultivate self-love.

As I emerged from the depths of my struggles, I discovered a newfound passion for healing and wellness. Empowered by my own journey, I pursued professional training and education, honing my skills as an energy healer and wellness coach. Through dedication and perseverance, I established myself as an authority in the field, and my work was recognized with prestigious awards.

Now, I am committed to empowering others on their own healing journeys. Guided by compassion and empathy, I support individuals in overcoming their mental health challenges, embracing self-love, and cultivating holistic well-being. Witnessing the transformation and growth of my clients fills me with profound gratitude and reaffirms the power of personal healing.

I wanted to share my top tips for Looking After Your Mental Health:

Prioritize Self-Care: Dedicate time each day to activities that bring you joy and relaxation. It could be reading a book, taking a walk in nature, practicing yoga, or indulging in a creative outlet. Find what resonates with you and commit to self-care rituals.

Seek Support: Remember, you don’t have to face mental health challenges alone. Reach out to trusted friends, family members, or seek professional help. Therapists, counselors, or support groups can provide invaluable guidance and support.

Practice Mindfulness: Cultivate the practice of being present in the moment. Engage in mindfulness techniques such as meditation, deep breathing exercises, or journaling. These practices can help calm the mind, reduce anxiety, and improve overall mental well-being.

Challenge Negative Thoughts: Recognize and challenge negative self-talk. Replace self-criticism with self-compassion and positive affirmations. Surround yourself with uplifting and supportive individuals who celebrate your worth.

Establish Boundaries: Learn to set healthy boundaries in all areas of your life. Say no to activities or relationships that drain your energy or contribute to your mental distress. Prioritize your own needs and well-being.

Engage in Physical Activity: Regular exercise has a profound impact on mental health. Engaging in activities like walking, jogging, or dancing releases endorphins and boosts mood. Find physical activities that you enjoy and incorporate them into your routine.

Limit Screen Time: While technology has its benefits, excessive screen time can negatively impact mental health. Take breaks from social media and create screen-free zones to reduce comparison and information overload.

Conclusion:

Life has a way of molding us through our struggles, transforming us into resilient beings with the capacity to heal ourselves and others. My journey from battling mental health challenges, anxiety, and body dysmorphia to becoming an award-winning healer and wellness coach is a testament to the strength of the human spirit.
