Did you know that CMV is the most common infectious cause of disability in newborn babies?

So, why do we know so little about it and what are the simple steps we can take to minimise the risk of contracting it?

That’s what we’re here to discuss today with our special guest Dr Hayley Smithers-Sheedy.

With a long list of qualifications, Dr Hayley Smithers-Sheedy is a Senior Research Fellow Cerebral Palsy Alliance The University of Sydney and Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Epidemiology, Australasian Clinical Trials Network.

She has expertise in epidemiology, congenital infection, neurodevelopmental disability and consumer involvement in research.
