World Prematurity Day 2020 – Caring for the future
In an Australian-first, Miracle Babies Foundation launches an information hub for families with a premature or sick baby.
Miracle Babies Foundation, Australia’s leading not for profit supporting premature and sick newborns, their families and the hospitals that care for them, has launched a ground-breaking evidence-based online resource for families and professionals.
In support of their vision for ‘better, healthier outcomes for newborns and their families challenged by prematurity or sickness’ and to help highlight World Prematurity Day on Tuesday 17th November, Miracle Babies Foundation is excited to launch Nurture ‘E’ – The EEE Impact to help emphasize the need for improved access to information for families with a premature or sick baby.
Nurture ‘E’ is the information hub on their newly updated website and focuses on all the life stages of having a premature or sick baby, and the long term health outcomes for these babies as they grow and develop in to adults. Miracle Babies recognizes that more research and evidence is needed for this vulnerable group as they grow. However, the evidence already available to help improve long term outcomes has often not been communicated or readily available for families to access, understand and act on.
Nurture ‘E’ changes all that, it provides information in parent-friendly language based on ‘The EEE Impact’. Information delivered with evidence to back it up, education on the issue, and empowerment for the family or reader as to their own wellbeing. The EEE Impact helps to direct families on how to get help or about early intervention as needed.
“The more we are aware and educated on how to help our children through challenges that may arise from their premature or sick birth, the better chance of improving the long term health outcomes for these children and adults. Partnership with researchers and health professionals is paramount to keep improving health care and outcomes.” Said Kylie Pussell, CEO and CoFounder.
This Australia, and possibly world, first information hub is designed to help guide families, and the child themselves, as they grow and become independent in their long term health. Miracle Babies Nurture E information hub is changing the course of health care for premature and sick newborns at birth and into all their developing life stages.
