Whilst we’re home in isolation, and heading into winter, what better opportunity to keep kids busy than to teach them the lifelong skill of learning how to cook!

Getting kids in the kitchen and showing them how to prepare simple, quick easy and healthy meals can really set them up for a future where they are able to make informed choices about what they eat and how they can take control of their health.

To discuss this we’re joined today by Siobhan Boyle, CEO of Jamie Oliver’s The Good Foundation.

Siobhan is responsible for delivering Food program including Jamie’s Ministry of Food Australia and Jamie Oliver’s Learn Your Fruit and Veg to  and parents

Today is going to share ‘Great Tips for getting Kids Cooking in the Kitchen’

We ask Siobhan questions including:

  1. Cooking is an important life skill which everyone should learn. How do you see cooking giving people the ability to take control of their lives and health?
  2. What are your top tips to get kids cooking in the kitchen?
  3. Is it important to involve the kids in the recipe choices?
  4. Do I need to have child-friendly equipment?
  5. Does it matter if I have a fussy eater?
  6. Is patience important when cooking with kids?
