Adaptive Learning Needs To Look Beyond The Answer

Make it easier? Explain it again? Move on?

The truth is, ๐š ๐ฐ๐ซ๐จ๐ง๐  ๐š๐ง๐ฌ๐ฐ๐ž๐ซ ๐๐จ๐ž๐ฌ๐งโ€™๐ญ ๐ญ๐ž๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐ฎ๐ฌ ๐ฐ๐ก๐ฒ ๐š ๐œ๐ก๐ข๐ฅ๐ ๐ข๐ฌ ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐ฎ๐ ๐ ๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐ .

They might have missed an earlier concept, forgotten something they once knew, need more practice โ€” or simply need the same idea explained in a completely different way.

And as parents, we know this can happen. Sometimes you explain something one way and get that blank lookโ€ฆ then suddenly, you say it differently and ๐ข๐ญ ๐œ๐ฅ๐ข๐œ๐ค๐ฌ. ๐Ÿ’ก

So what if adaptive learning could look beyond whether an answer is right or wrong and start asking ๐ฐ๐ก๐š๐ญ ๐ข๐ฌ ๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐ก๐š๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ž๐ง๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ฎ๐ง๐๐ž๐ซ๐ง๐ž๐š๐ญ๐ก ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ฆ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐š๐ค๐ž?

Because helping a child learn isnโ€™t always about making the work easier.
