Red Nose Australia Remembers Every Little Life

During October, Red Nose Australia acknowledges Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month (also known as PAIL) which aims to educate the wider community on how to better support families who have experienced any form of loss.

Sadly, 3,000 little lives are lost suddenly and unexpectedly each year. Red Nose’s aim is to break the stigma around bereavement and loss, as well as provide support to those in grief through their free 24/7 Grief and Loss Support Line.

Throughout October, Red Nose hosts “Walk to Remember” events nationally, inviting communities across Australia to come together, raise awareness and support families tragically affected by miscarriage, stillbirth, and baby and child loss.

Keren Ludski, Red Nose CEO says “These heart-warming gatherings go far beyond just remembering. They provide a loving space to embrace grief, pay tribute to, and cherish the precious little lives we’ve lost. At our Walk to Remember events, Red Nose aim to bring together families, friends, and support networks, helping to break the stigma surrounding pregnancy, baby, and child loss.”

These family-friendly events are held across Australia and are open to everyone, from parents and siblings to extended family members, friends, and those who provide support to bereaved parents in their professional roles.

During PAIL, Red Nose also support the launch of children’s book “MY BROTHER, BORN SLEEPING,” which gently explains infant loss to children.  Featuring gorgeous illustrations from artists all around the globe

‘My Brother Born Sleeping’ officially launched on October 15th, with the ebook is currently available for pre-order globally on Amazon.com, at www.theknowledgecentre.com.au with all proceeds from book sales going directly to Red Nose.
