The Nestlé Start Healthy Stay Healthy Nutrition Program is an online education platform for parents and caregivers, promoting healthy nutrition in the crucial First 1000 Days – from conception to a toddler’s second birthday (24 months).

Kiddipedia is designed as a parenting encyclopedia. You can explore some of the top parenting information, resources and support services using our keyword search tool. We are proud to announce that you will now be able to access articles from Start Healthy Stay Healthy through the tool.

To launch this collaboration we asked the team at Nestlé some questions on what the Start Healthy Stay Healthy Nutrition Program is all about:

Q: What a great idea!
Could you tell us a little about what parents should expect during the first 1000 days in the Nutrition Program?
Absolutely. Our Nutrition Program spans the first 1000 days which is made up of the 270 days of pregnancy, 365 days in baby’s first year and 365 days in baby’s second year of life. Parents start the Program at whatever stage of the journey they’re in. The Program gives parents practical advice and skills that will help them make the right nutrition and feeding choices that work for them. There are articles, videos, tracking tools, tips and quizzes which will help turn what they’ve learnt into practice

Q: How is the Start Healthy Stay Healthy Nutrition Program different to anything else currently in the market?
We’re here to help parents navigate nutrition during the first 1000 days, based on our 150 years of nutrition expertise. We translate the latest studies and discoveries into easy-to-understand articles, engaging infographics and dynamic videos on a variety of topics. Parents are taken through what to feed and how to feed in the first 1000 days – and why! We give them the information they need to know, but only when they need to know it. The Program also learns as they do, meaning that every time they log in, it stays in tune with where their baby is at in the 1000 days journey.

Q: What types of parenting articles should we expect to see come up in the keyword search?
There are over 250 pieces of content on the site including 67 recipes and 8 tools. We cover topics all the way from symptoms of pregnancy, through breastfeeding, from baby’s very first solid food experience through to the fussy eating toddler years. There’s week by week information on how baby’s growing during pregnancy, checklists for your hospital bag, information on childcare as well as menu planners. We’re sure parents will find something of interest

Q: What would be the key benefits in a parent or carer becoming a member of My First 1000 Days Club?
It’s simple! Learn, Ask, Track, Get.

LEARN – Everything you need to know to help you navigate nutrition before pregnancy, during pregnancy & after baby’s born
ASK – Chat with experts and other mums, ask questions and share your experiences
TRACK – Easy ways to keep track of complex things like fertility, ovulation, and growth – complete with links to the right nutrition for whatever stage you’re at
GET – All sorts of exclusive giveaways, and special offers just for you

Q: We’ve seen some great videos, tell us what they’re about?
There are a number of videos integrated throughout the Program which help parents visualise what they’re learning. They can see what a hunger or fullness cue looks like, understand exactly what a healthy pregnancy diet includes and get an idea about the different breastfeeding positions. Sometimes it’s also more fun to just listen than read!
