Being a career woman and a mother is quite a challenge. But these following tips can help you fulfill these roles smoothly.

Being a working mom is not easy. Even if you a dependable partner, this doesn’t mean that you are already free from any responsibilities.

Your little kid requires attention and care. And so, you can’t just shrug them off whenever they need you. So how do you strike the perfect balance between work and family time?

If this is your current struggle, then you should check out these 5 tips for working moms with babies. By adhering to these tips, you can establish good parenthood without neglecting your work.

Tip #1: Erase The Guilt

Many mothers out there feel guilty whenever they leave their children for work. Even I had experienced such predicament when my angel was still young. Fortunately, that’s a normal feeling because you are a parent.

But the thing is, you can always remove the sense of guilt that you are feeling. Rather than overthinking, you have to focus your thoughts on thriving so that you can provide better opportunities for your kids.

Always think of the things that you can give to your children because of your current work. You can’t afford on supporting a family if you don’t have a stable job–unless if you are running a business. At the end of the day, the guilt is more enormous if you can’t provide for your children.

Be motivated in working full-time rather than being consumed by the guilt of leaving your baby. Remember, you will eventually outgrow this phase. By that time happens, you have to make sure that your finances are already stable.

Tip #2: Provide Quality and Adequate Childcare

Because you are not there all the time, you have to guarantee that you can find a replacement. Of course, we are not referring to surrogate mothers here. Instead, we are recommending that you should look for the services of professional nannies.

Having a nanny or babysitter for your child is a must, especially if your husband or partner is working, too. They can give you the relief that your beloved child is being taken care of.

You can also consider enrolling your baby to daycare centres. However, not all mommies out there are sold to this idea. They still prefer their young ones to stay at home with the company of a trusted nanny.

Moreover, give them the appropriate toys and recreations so that they won’t get bored. Please note that some toys are proven to be not safe for infants and small children.

Also, don’t forget to get a quality mattress for your children. I do recommend that you check out the Graco Pack n Play Mattresses. They are excellent options for your kids because of their safe and multipurpose design.

Tip #3: Start the Day Right

Dealing with your children and hectic working schedule is indeed a challenge. On some extent, this dual responsibility of a mother can drive you crazy.

However, it is in the mornings that you can feel the hassle of juggling your time. That’s why I recommend that you organize and prepare your stuff the night before. In this way, you can start your day fresh and smooth.

Of course, it is not that simple to do extensive preparations. It is entirely understandable if the day is exhausting and you feel tired during the night. But the thing is, if you can run some of your errands ahead of time, your tasks would be minimized.

So what you can do during the night? Well, why not start packing the clothes and foods of your kids? You can also try cleaning your stuff, too.

Tip #4: Set A Calendar of Activities

It is easy to forget things, especially if you are busy. For moms with babies and children out there, erratic schedules are a common thing to them.

However, this is not a license for them or for you to ignore other important family activities. Your work is crucial for your survival, but your family justifies the reason for your existence. Therefore, you shouldn’t just take everything else for granted.

Create a special calendar in where you are going to list every family activity and adventure that you have. If possible, only write the schedules that are related to your children. Whether it is school meetings, recitals, or birthdays, jot them down!

Tip #5: Talk With Your Employer

I know that doing this one is not easy, especially if you have a stern boss. But as a mother, you have to do this for the sake of your baby.

Not all employers are the same. Some of them can offer special arrangements so that you can spend more time with your kids.

But before you are going to do this, make sure that you know what you want. Do you need to leave work earlier? Do you want extra days on leave?

All of these stipulations are all possible as long as you express them to your employer!

Final Verdict

Don’t ever think that your baby is the reason for you to stop working. You can still become a career woman and a mother at the same time. You have to learn how to balance your time and responsibilities so that you don’t leave any areas of your life lagging.

Don’t worry. Once you can accomplish these things, the fulfillment is irreplaceable.
