Over the last few months, the landscape of children’s education was required to pivot the most amount in recent history.
Amongst many of the changes, parents and teachers have been required to collaborate and partner with the view of supporting children in their distant learning.
Recently, we’ve addressed the pressures parents and children have been under, and until now haven’t spoken about the pressures that teachers are experiencing.
Today we show our appreciation for teachers with our special guest, Amy Green, ‘Associate Director of Teacher Education’ at Real Schools.
We also chat with Amy about tips about how we can best enhance our children’s distant learning experience.
We ask Amy questions including:
- With regards to the pressures teachers are expected to work under, what should parents be aware of?
- Have you noticed there is an increase in parents appreciation for teachers?
- How are teachers feeling at the moment?
- In your experience, what are the major challenges teachers are experiencing at this time? What part of this do you think is worthwhile for parents to be aware of?
- How do you see the transition from remote learning back to the classroom working best for teachers and students?
- Do you have any tips for parents about how they can better use technology during this time?
- What can parents do to keep children motivated during the transition back into the classroom?
