Mummy To Twins Plus One

Mummy To Twins Plus One

My recipe only uses 3 ingredients and that to a busy mum is fantastic!

I have been experimenting with my airfyer and thought why not make scones.  How about a super easy recipe?

Lemonade Scones

I have always wanted to try lemonade scones and since I have a SodaStream I thought why not make my own lemonade. Over the last few weeks, I have made many batches of these yummy 3 ingredient airfyer scones, and I’ve made them with store bought lemonade and also SodaStream Lemonade.  I’ve also changed it up with homemade lemon squash for some new scones.

If you wish to make your own fizzy to go with this recipe it doesn’t matter if you make your own or use store bought.   Create a different flavour and experiment with your scones.

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups of self-raising flour
  • 1 cup of cream
  • 1 cup of lemonade
  • Milk to add to the top of the scones (this gives it a brown crust on top)

Method:

  • Mix all ingredients roughly
  • Flour the bench
  • Mix the dough into a ball and make the dough about inch thick
  • Cut the scones with a cookie cutter
  • Add a little milk to the top of the scones
  • Add the scones to the airfryer – depending on how big they are you might only be able to add 4 or possibly 6 at one time.

If cooking in an oven set it to 180°C for 15 – 20mins

Cooking times for the airfyrer

Heat the airfryer up before cooking – set to the heat setting and put on for 3mins empty

– Smaller scones 180°C for 9 minutes
– Larger scones 200°C for 13 minutes

Note: If you find that the scones need more just pop them back for a few extra minutes.

Making scones in the airfryer means that you have afternoon tea ready and in record time.

I also made whipped cream very easily in my blender. I added the remaining cream and put it on the chop setting, all I did was stop and start until it was thicker.

Enjoy your scones with this quick and easy recipe.
