This weekend marks the start of Children’s Book Week (17-23 August), an annual celebration that brings children and books together. During this time, schools, librarians and authors celebrate the magic, stories, and characters behind children’s literature.

Since the much-loved Dr. Seuss classic, ‘Green Eggs and Ham’, was published in the 1960s, parents have been eager to recreate this whimsical dish for their children. More than 50 years later, Deliveroo is now offering the opportunity for parents to create them at their house or home, with a DIY ‘Green Eggs and Ham’ kit. Available from this Friday (16th August), this DIY will allow fans to recreate the infamous dish in a house or with a mouse, and celebrate the classic book with a quick cook.

From far or near or here or there, children and parents are striving to celebrate the joys of reading, during this year’s Book Week. Deliveroo is urging parents to join in the celebrations with this DIY at-home kit, including ingredients, tips and literary magic.
