WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Craft Sticks – natural
  • Mini round Mache box- 7cm
  • 2 x chenille sticks
  • Ric rac trim
  • Foam stickers- Glitter daisies
  • Acrylic paint – Semco: Pink& Neon Green
  • Scissors, craft knife, paint brush
  • Craft glue or hot glue gun

INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1 – Trim 15mm from one end of each of the craft sticks.

Step 2 – With the round edges of the sticks at the top, glue the craft sticks around the sides of the small round paper mache box with cut edges flush with the base of the mache box. Allow glue to dry.

Step 3 – Paint the paper mache box and sticks in desired colour, allow paint to dry. Repeat with a second/third coat if desired.

Step 4 – To make the basket handle, twist chenille sticks together for added strength and glue ends inside the box opposite each other resting on the inner top edge of the paper mache box. Allow glue to fully dry before lifting the basket by this handle.

Step 5 – Decorate baskets by gluing on ric rac trim and embellishing with glitter daisies stickers.
