Dr Nicole Grant is an Australian paediatric Occupational Therapist with more than 20 years’ experience. Nicole’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Science majoring in Psychology, a Masters degree in Occupational Therapy studies, and a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Queensland. In 2017 she was awarded The Dean’s Award for Outstanding Higher Degree by Research Theses for her research.

In her capacity as Head of Clinical Governance for Early Start Australia, Nicole leads a dedicated team of multidisciplinary allied health professionals in delivering comprehensive, evidence-based interventions for children with autism and other developmental challenges. Her leadership is characterised by a deep understanding of the unique needs of autistic children and their families, and a commitment to providing holistic support that addresses their sensory, motor, and social-emotional needs, and supports them to achieve their health and well-being goals.

Nicole’s expertise in autism spectrum disorders, as a health professional and a mum of neurodivergent children, is evident in her clinical practice, where she employs innovative therapeutic approaches to support children in reaching their full potential. She is an advocate for early intervention and the importance of early identification and implementation of appropriate supports. Through her work, she strives to empower families with the knowledge and skills they need to support their children's development and give them an early start to an amazing life.
