There’s no doubt technology assists us in our day to day lives, helping make life that little bit easier, more efficient and generally just speeding things up however it’s also stoping us thinking for ourselves as much as we used to.

Either by habit, by convenience, lack of time-whatever it is we have become accustom to relying on using technology far too much as we’re all guilty of when we  can’t remember the answer to a question we all say “just Google it”….

For many people we would be much more likely to use our index finger to scroll through our Facebook feed on our mobile each day than to use it to turn the page as we read through the newspaper. Hard to hear I know, but it’s the truth isn’t it?!?

The 2000’s, we are in it and living it.

If I was to ask you questions about Adriano Zumbo’s famous Tim Tams, Sydney’s Vivid Festival, as well as pop culture icons including Kim Kardashian, Katy Perry, Angry Birds and Mad Men you would and should be able to answer them.

For any trivia buffs, and or die hard fans of the original game, Trivial Pursuit: 2000s edition game is fresh and fun up-to-the-minute reboot of the much-loved classic game.

Why not bring the family closer together this Festive Season, get everyone to leave their phone’s in their bag, or a decent distance from their arms reach, and test each other out in how much you know about the 2000’s.

To help celebrate the launch of Trivial Pursuit: 2000s Edition we are giving away 1 of 6 games

This updated way to play the classic Trivial Pursuit has something for everyone:

  • Is a Fresh and Fun way to play the Trivial Pursuit game with up to date questions
  • Players get to prove their knowledge of the 2000s
  • Includes 1800 questions from 6 categories — something for everyone
  • Now players can answer the question or try to stump their opponents
  • 300 trivia cards totalling 1800 questions from the 2000s
  • updated game board, includes 300 cards (50 of each category),
  • cardholder, 6 wedge holders, 36 wedges, 1 custom die, label sheet, and instructions.
  • To be played and enjoyed by baby boomers, millennials, and everyone in between
  • Ages 16 and up
  • For 2 to 6 players.

The objective of Trivial Pursuit: 2000s is to be the first player to circle the board once, collecting every colour wedge along the way and fixing it into the wedge holder. It’s like collecting breadcrumbs on the way to the gingerbread house and/or creating your own personal rainbow pizza. To collect wedges, players must correctly answer questions, but in this version, there’s a twist.

Now, players can choose to answer a question or stump their opponents based on the topic at the top of each card (if they think they don’t know the answer), or answer the question themselves if they’re confident enough.

If a player chooses to stump, and the rest of the group collectively answers incorrectly, the player gets a wedge. Adding a unique twist to the game and allows players to incorporate more strategy into their efforts.

The first player to collect each colour wedge and answer a final question wins.

All in all The Trivial Pursuit: 2000s edition game sure makes for a great game night with family and friends and above all get us to put our phones down and use our minds a little more.
