As a parent there is no doubt you want the very best for your children and to give them the life they deserve. With so many opportunities available for children, how do you know where to put your focus when it comes to providing the best opportunities to help nurture the development of their brain?

Lucky for us we are joined by our special guest, Dr Tessa Grigg, who is here today to share her clinical experience on what you can do to that is simple and cost effective. She will also discuss the links between movement, music and nutrition and the growing brain.

We ask Dr Tessa questions including:

  1. What are the core disciplines are that parents should be focusing on when wanting to assist their child in their development?
  2. There has been some interesting research from Italy and the USA that assesses the nurturing of young brains through movement, music and nutrition. Can you tell us a little bit about this?
  3. What has been your personal experiences of addressing Movement, Music and Nutrition to help develop childrens brains?
  4. Do see any one being more important than another?
  5. Can you explain why movement is important for a developing brain?
  6. Can you explain why movement and music are linked to the developing brain?
  7. And with the importance of movement and music in focus what part does nutrition play in the development of the brain?
  8. What experiences can we provide preschoolers that are quite simple and cost effective to assist the development of their brain?
  9. Have you seen the results of addressing one or more of these issues for a child with challenges.
  10. You’ve mentioned before that experiences we give children appear to be the basis of their brains development. Why is it important for parents to provide a wide range of experiences for children’s developing brain?
  11. The physical structure of the brain changes throughout our lives as a result of our experiences and the environment we live in. Does this mean that children from lower socio economic background are likely to have their brain develop differently than a child that has experiences from a middle to higher socio economic demographic?
