The world has been going through, and is continuing to go through, a really tough time at the moment with so much that feels like it’s out of control.
When we’re experiencing tough times one way we can start to take control of our own world on is simply by mastering our thoughts and emotions. By choosing to do what matters each day and thats to shift our perspective to put ourselves into a place that provides an opportunity to find, experience and feel happiness.
Let’s face it, that’s all we really want in life isn’t it. To be happy.
And the truth be told, if we can find happiness with all this chaos going on around the world, it should make it a lot easier to find it any other time in lives when we experience struggles and hardship again.
To help talk to us today about this, and how we can make this month a “Joyful June” is our special guest Jay Anderson.
Jay is a Registered Psychologist, Counsellor and Play Therapist.
Jay has worked in the Human Services field for 20 years, of which the last 10 years have involved therapeutic work.
We ask Jay questions including:
- Your motto for this month is “There is always something to be thankful for”. Can you tell us a little bit about your inspiration for this?
- As we know the world is really suffering at the moment. In your opinion how can we use this time to be a force for good and positive change?
- In your experience, how have you helped people make the transition through tough times?
- Please tell us why is it so important to always find something to be grateful for?
- How can people shift their perspective to a positive place during this challenging time?
- What needs to happen in order for people to shift their thought processes for good and not change back to old thought patterns?
- You provide a list of things we can do differently this month to help us live a more Joyful June, can you go through that list with us?
