Australian Boys Choir
The Australian Boys Choir is currently auditioning for new members.
Boys come from all over Victoria to join the choir and become part of a rich history of over 3,000 boys who have trained with the organisation since 1939.
Auditions are held in June and November each year. Participation in our training program is perfect for boys between the ages of 6 and 9 who love to sing and wish to develop their musical potential.

Boys attend auditions in groups of 12 or so. The 50-minute session involves singing games, and exploration of each individual’s rhythmic and pitch abilities.
No prepared song is necessary and boys are not asked to sing alone in any extended way. Assessment of reading ability is made and boys recount – in a wide-ranging general discussion – their musical experience, any instruments learned, etc.
