This natural, green food dye is safe for the whole family. Free from toxic ingredients, you can use this light green dye to colour cakes, biscuits – or anything you want.

Ingredients:

2 cups loosely packed spinach

1/2 cup water

Method:

1. Add the spinach and water to a frying pan set to medium heat.

2. Stir until the spinach has wilted and is soft and mushy.

3. Allow to cool slightly and then blend in a small food processor.

4. Strain the contents through a fine sieve or nut milk bag.

5. Use your dye in baking, being mindful of the total amount of liquid your recipe needs.
