Now the large majority of us are at home with the kids, you may be looking for fresh ideas to educate them and keep their little minds ticking over.

Food is a great topic to teach the kids about, no matter what age or education level.

Lucky for us today we are joined today special guest Alicia Edge, more famously known as the Dietitian to The Matildas, Australia’s National Football (Soccer) Team.

Alicia is an Advanced Sports Dietitian with a focus on high performance and general wellbeing. She is using her extensive knowledge to help others, whether it is baby-led feeding, everyday wellness, or high-performance athleticism with teams like The Matildas.

Alicia will be answering key questions including:

  1. What are some of the key nutrients our bodies need? Where are they found?
  2. High-performance athleticism, like the Matildas, requires a high level of well-researched nutrient groups to keep their bodies fit and strong.
    What can lessons can parents learn from this, with a strong focus on their diet for their family, during this coronavirus pandemic?

  4. When parents are asked the question “Why” about foods from their children, how are they best to answer it?

  6. What activities can parents be doing at home to demonstrate these lessons?
