Young Sparks Free Online International Chess Tournament

Young Sparks, a community based initiative by Max Biocare will host its second international chess tournament of 2020 this August, giving children the chance to explore their interest in chess and grow their passion.

The Australian based online event is free for all children and will run on Sunday 16 and 23 August. The event is open to kids internationally and is expected to see children from all over the globe participate, including Asia, America and Australia.

Hosted by Chess champion and coach, Anthony Hain, the tournament is open to children under 18 years old and is a chance for them to grow as an individual through learning whilst making new friendships and having lots of fun at the same time.

Format: 9 rounds, FIDE rated


  • Over 2000+ Master
  • 1600-2000 Experts
  • 1100-1600 Major
  • 600-1100 Minor
  • Under 600 Rookies.

Time Controls: 15 minutes + 3 seconds per move per player

Where: Online via Tornelo
