Tutus and Tiaras

Join the Botanic Gardens Education Team, local children’s entertainer Danibelle and the Brisbane Symphonic Band for a fun day of tiaras and tutus at the Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha.

Plenty of fun activities for every little princess and dancer in the family. In the morning enjoy listening to princess and ballerina story-time and a make-your-own-tiara workshop.

Then make your own magic flower seed-ball to take home and plant in the garden, or create your own crown, bracelet, wand and dancing slippers from flowers, seeds and other natural materials.

Bring a picnic lunch to enjoy on the Bandstand Lawn with Danibelle and finish off the day by dancing in your finery to the wonderful ballet themed music provided by the Brisbane Symphonic Band.

Brisbane Symphonic Band conducted by Stefanie Smith with perform from 2-3pm. Repertoire includes music from Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, Music Box Dancer, West Side Story and Gallop from Dance of the Hours.

This event is part of the Bands in Parks program.
