Padbury Picnic Club

City: Padbury
Time: 1st Wednesday of each month

Free Picnic Club
Food, play-based learning and friendships at the Padbury Community Kindy Picnic Club.

The Padbury Community Kindy opens its doors on the first Wednesday of every month (during school term) to enjoy a picnic and take part in a play-based learning activity.

At the latest Picnic Club, we enjoyed water play which is both fun, educational and refreshing on a hot day! There was a water system set up for boats to float around. The children used walls to dam up the water and waterwheels to help the water flow.

The children developed hand-eye coordination through activities like pouring, squirting and squeezing.

Large ice blocks were filled with objects, such as stones, rocks, leaves and nuts. The ice was placed into a large tub full of water. The children observed the ice melt and discovered if the objects sunk or floated.

Not only is the Picnic Club great for the little ones in the families, it was also nice to meet and connect with other parents.

We will be heading back next month and the best thing is it is free!
